The Dayton Foundation Names New Governing Board Member

The Dayton Foundation has named Maureen A. Lynch to its Governing Board, which provides stewardship for the Foundation and its charitable activities.

Maureen Lynch is an active community leader, who has volunteered for more than 35 years in support of women’s rights, civil liberties and access to health care in Dayton and Yellow Springs, where she resides. A native of Akron, Ohio, Lynch currently serves as president of Board of the Little Art Theatre in Yellow Springs and is a member of the Board of Trustees for The Yellow Springs Community Foundation. She previously has served as a board member for a number of local organizations, including ThinkTV, YWCA Dayton, Dayton Contemporary Dance Company, Planned Parenthood of the Greater Miami Valley, among others. She also was recognized in 2003 as one of the YWCA Women of Influence.

Lynch will serve a five-year term on the Foundation’s Governing Board.

The Dayton Foundation is the regional community foundation for Greater Dayton.  Since 1921, the Foundation has helped people to help others. The Dayton Foundation has helped caring individuals to establish and manage charitable funds and be part of the Foundation’s 90-year history of awarding to nonprofits over 225,000 grants totaling more than a half-billion dollars. Through the Foundation, these donors have supported the building of a stronger community through philanthropy and leadership.
