What Donors Have Told Us About The Dayton Foundation
Nearly 100 percent of all recently surveyed constituents said that The Dayton Foundation is a highly respected organization. This is among the many findings that came from random anonymous surveys of nearly 500 Foundation constituents, including donors, not-for-profit organizations, financial advisors and estate planners, and other community people who are on our mailing list.
All five groups surveyed confirmed the level of regard with which The Dayton Foundation is held.
The Foundation got high marks for:
• the capability of its managers and staff,
• excellent documentation and accounting of donor funds,
• a high level of overall customer satisfaction,
• effectively meeting the needs of the community,
• being a valuable resource for charitable estate planning,
• communications with these constituent groups,
• cost effectiveness,
• our work as a partner to the nonprofit community,
among other factors.
Endowment (long-term) donors of The Dayton Foundation told us that the Foundation's community assistance, our help to them in leaving a charitable legacy and our community knowledge were the most important benefits the Foundation offers to them.
At the top of Charitable Checking Account donors' lists were the tax advantages and the ability to disburse later; the convenience, simplicity and record-keeping services; and the ability to use assets other than cash to make charitable gifts.
